Does the anonymous nature of online interactions destroy civility? It seems, from the example above, that television anchors also enjoy anonymity, able to utilize their unidirectional medium to dominate the discourse. The anonymity of the Internet may prevent much civility, but at least there is equality.
What do you think about the current war between new and old journalistic mediums? Will the animosity continue? Will it grow?
